Addressing the Root Cause, not Just the Symptoms
Pain is the body’s alarm system, it tells us something needs attention. But when pain becomes chronic or keeps returning without a clear physical cause, it can feel confusing and frustrating. You may have been told there's “nothing wrong” on your scans, or that your pain comes from weaknesses or imbalances, or that you just need to manage it. You may have been given a diagnosis and your symptoms attributed to MRI findings such as degenerative discs, even though these changes are often just normal signs of aging much like grey hair or wrinkles and not the true source of pain.
The SIRPA approach
SIRPA (Stress Illness Recovery Practitioners Association)
This approach is for people living with ongoing or recurrent pain, tension, fatigue, or other unexplained symptoms especially when physical treatments haven’t worked. Based on modern neuroscience and mind-body research, we will look at how stress, emotional patterns, and past experiences can affect the brain and nervous system, keeping the pain signal turned on. By understanding and rewiring these patterns, many people experience lasting relief often after years of searching for answers.
